"250 piano pieces for Beethoven"

250 composers from all over the world are invited to write new piano pieces for Beethoven's 250th anniversary in the year 2020. All pieces refer to Beethoven's music and/or his life.
Susanne Kessel plays the world premieres of all the piano pieces in Beethoven's birthtown Bonn. And further performances also in other cities and countries.

All pieces are published within a high quality sheet music edition by EDITIONS MUSICA FERRUM / London.

You can find the sheet music of this piece in Vol. 6 of the project's edition.

Juri Dadiani über sein piano piece „Nocturne“:

„Dieses Werk bezieht sich auf den Brief von Ludwig van Beethoven an die Unsterbliche Geliebte, welchen Beethoven im Juli 1812 geschrieben hat.

In meinem Nocturne verwende ich Buchstaben in Form von Tonfolgen, die die Namen Ludwig van Beethoven und Josephine darstellen. Am Schluss des Werkes gebe ich den Vornamen Minona, der angeblichen Tochter von Beethoven und Josephine als musikalische Tonfolge.

Im Notentext findet man die jeweiligen Motive, deutlich durch verschieden Farben gekennzeichnet: Hellblau: Ludwig van Beethoven Pink: Josephine Grün: Minona.“
