Susanne Kessel invited 250 composers from all over the world to write new piano pieces for Beethoven's 250th anniversary in the year 2020. All pieces refer to Beethoven's music and/or his life.
Susanne Kessel played the world premieres of all the piano pieces in Beethoven's birthtown Bonn. And further performances also in other cities and countries.

All pieces are published within a high quality sheet music edition by EDITIONS MUSICA FERRUM / London.

You can find the sheet music of this piece in Vol. 9 of the project's edition.

Das Stück ist improvisatorisch angelegt, darum gibt es keine Takte. Es bleibt dem Timing der Ausführenden überlassen wie schnell oder wie langsam sie voran schreitet, wann ein nächster der vorgegebenen Töne dem Klang hinzugefügt wird. Es sollte dabei eine Art Cluster entstehen. Die Ausführende möge die Klänge sichtlich genießen und das Publikum an dem Genuß teilhaben lassen. Viel wird auch vom Klang des jeweiligen Instrumentes und vom Raum abhängig sein.
Es geht in dem Stück um Klänge, die übereinander geschichtet werden. Das Pedal und die Tasten müssen darum die ganze Zeit herunter gedrückt bleiben, damit so die Klangschichtungen entstehen können. In welcher Schnelligkeit das geschieht, bleibt der Interpretin überlassen. Der Grundpuls sollte sich am Herzschlag orientieren.
Ich wähle eine eher improvisatorische Form, weil Beethoven vor allem wegen seiner Improvisierkünste Berühmtheit erlangte – später erst durch seine Kompositionen.“
