lyrics

Kai Schumacher about his piano piece "A little moonlight music":

"'A little moonlight music' is not only a tribute to Beethoven but also to George Crumb, the great american composer of the 20th Century. Both, Beethoven and Crumb took the piano music to another level and discovered new sounds. So, I was just wondering how it would have sounded if George Crumb had chosen the first bars of Beethovens "Moonlight Sonata" instead of Thelonious Monk's "'round midnight" as a basis for his piano cycle "A little midnight music".

And even though the consciously cheesy title may remind you of dancing unicorns under a waterfall at full moon, the musica has a very fragile and spooky nature, soothing and disturbing at the same time."
