Susanne Kessel invited 250 composers from all over the world to write new piano pieces for Beethoven's 250th anniversary in the year 2020. All pieces refer to Beethoven's music and/or his life.
Susanne Kessel played the world premieres of all the piano pieces in Beethoven's birthtown Bonn. And further performances also in other cities and countries.

All pieces are published within a high quality sheet music edition by EDITIONS MUSICA FERRUM / London.

You can find the sheet music of this piece in Vol. 10 of the project's edition.

Johannes X. Schachtner about his piano piece „MADEAM“:

„MADEAM ist das Akronym zu „Mehr Ausdruck der Empfindung als Malerei“ — dieses Diktum steht gleichsam als Motto am Anfang der Partitur der 6. Symphonie Beethovens und wurde von mir als Titel zu einem Doppelkonzert für Violine, Violoncello und Streichorchester gewählt. Die drei Aphorismen sind aus Skizzen zu diesem Werk entstanden.

Der erste Aphorismus präsentiert einen flüchtigen bagatellartigen Gedanken, ehe der zweite Aphorismus die darin vorhandene harmonische Struktur ausbreitet: jeder Stufe der chromatischen Leiter wird ein Akkord zugeordnet, der auf die Tonartencharakteristik verweist, die in Beethovens Werk so ausgeprägt zu finden ist. Der dritte Aphorismus ist die Skizze zum Mittelteil des Doppelkonzert, der auf der pastoralen Tonart F-Dur verharrt.“
