about

Friedrich Jaecker about his piano piece “110”:

lyrics

Friedrich Jaecker about his piano piece "110":

"The 3rd movement of Beethoven's piano sonata Op. 110 lets a wavering mournful songs between weariness and revivyl, that seem like a composer's spiritual protocol, as if the was sharing some of the most intimate things with us.

At the same time, the musical texture is of the highest formal and technical sophistication. Metric rhythmic and agogical changes also ensure a constant transformation of similar figures in Op. 110. Changing harmonious references seem to have the same effect in a new light, even into the mictrotonal area. No bar is like the other - not even if, as is the case in the end, the underlying mechanics of the structure of sentences becomes overt,"
